  The United Kingdom has been a major exporter and source of musical innovation in the modern and contemporary eras. First, each one of four countries retained unique forms of music and instrumentation. But, over time the British music was highly influenced by continental development.

 First, the church music and religious was predominant, but the protestant reformation affected the style, which forced the development of distinctive national music, worship and belief.

  Each of the four countries of the United Kingdom has its own diverse and distinctive folk music forms. Also, there are more styles of folk music in United Kingdom brought by immigrants from Jamaica, India and others parts of the world.

Culinary



  In Culinary, there was a myth say that the UK's food was terrible, but this is restricted to the period of the World War II, because at that moment the British were forced to increase consume because the war, but there was a food revolution that made its high production levels back to normal with great nutritional values. All this led to the emergence of great and famous chiefs. Britannic culinary was also influenced by others, becoming in something better.

Celebrities


  The UK is the birthplace of many celebrities as Daniel Radclife, who act the famous character Harry Potter, from the books of J.K Rowling; Paul McCartney, who played in The Beatles and today plays his songs and pieces of music by The Beatles; Adele, a famous singer who sings many beautiful songs; and David Beckham, who played in successful teams from Europe.



 

Folklore


  Pixies, giants, elves, bogeymen, trolls, goblins and dwarves are present in the UK’s folklore. The most famous stories are from King Arthur and The Loch Ness Monster. King Arthur was a legendary British leader who led the defence of Britain against Saxon invaders. The Ness Monster is a creature reputed to habit Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands.



  Halloween is the most famous folkloric holiday in the United Kingdom and the whole world. It’s celebrated on the night of 31 October. It has roots in the Gaelic festival Samhain, where the Gaels believed the border between this world and the otherworld disappear and the dead could revisit the mortal world.

  The United Kingdom consists of a collection of islands which are located on the Northwestern coast of Europe, between the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea. It is shared by 4 main territories: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The official name of the UK is ‘’United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”.
  Many people are usually confused with the names Great Britain, United Kingdom and England, but actually the difference is very simple: England is an individual country, Great Britain is composed by England, Wales, Scotland and The United Kingdom is Great Britain adds Northern Ireland.This nation has the third-largest population in European Union and the twenty-first largest in the world. The total population, in the 2011 census, was 63.181.775. Life´s expectancy is 80.75 years old.
Christianity is the dominant religion of the United Kingdom. Anglicans and Roman Catholics are the largest Christian groups, but there are religions like Islam, Hinduism, Judaism and others religions.
  English is the official language; 95% of the UK’s population speak English. There are also four Celtic languages spoken in the UK: Welsh, Irish, Scottish Gaelic and Cornish they are recognized as regional or minority languages.
  The United Kingdom has a beautiful flag that results of the combination of three flags representing England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
 The English flag is the cross of Saint George that consists of a red cross on a white background. The Scottish flag is the cross of St. Andrew that consists of a white saltire, or diagonal cross, on a blue background. The Northern Ireland flag is the cross of St. Patrick that consists of a red saltire on a white background.

  Despite being a major member of the EU, the country is not part of the Eurozone. The official currency of the United Kingdom is the sterling pound and that is the fourth most traded currency after the United States dollar, the euro and the Japanese yen.
